David and Carol Epp
David & Carol have a passion to help couples reach their fullest relationship potential and remain “in love” for a life-time. Since attending a life-changing marriage encounter weekend in 1998, they continue to invest in their own marriage, knowing the integrity, love and freedom that comes from affirming and building into each other lives. They have traveled extensively, sharing their personal testimony, facilitating marriage events, home builder groups, and mentoring couples and individuals wherever the opportunity exists.
David is Owner/Operator of C&D Enterprises in Saskatoon. Carol holds a MA, in Marriage and Family Counselling, and worked as a Marriage & Family Therapist at Christian Counselling Services in Saskatoon, SK from 2010 to 2017. She is runs her own private practice, serving individuals, couples and families. David & Carol have been married for over 40 years, and are parents of 3 adult sons. The family has expanded to include two daughters-in-love and six beautiful granddaughters and one awesome grandson.
David is the Chairperson of the Board of Directors for Hope Encounters International, and together with Carol provides leadership to the Ministry Team of Hope Encounters International.
Shaun and Toni Tuck
It was at a marriage encounter weekend that Shaun and Toni experienced a miracle that motivated them to live life to the fullest and to meet every challenge that comes their way with courage, joy and grace. When sharing about their marriage, they have two very distinct stories… One from before their marriage encounter weekend and their story since their weekend. The marriage encounter was a turning point for their marriage and their personal lives.
Shaun is a manager with Federated Coop and Toni is Office Manager for a Surgery Centre in Calgary. They have made Airdrie, AB their home. They have two young adult sons. Shaun and Toni love to adventure and spend many weekends exploring the nearby Canadian Rockies.
Dwayne and Tanya Nizinkevich
Dwayne and Tanya attended a marriage encounter weekend in February of 2000. Through this experience, they have met amazing friends who, like them, want to make marriages even better!
They have one son who keeps them laughing and active. Dwayne both volunteers and works as a fire fighter, and Tanya works in the administrative field. Tanya serves on the Encounter Board of Directors, and together Dwayne & Tanya are the Team Leaders of the Core Serving Team.
They love the outdoors and one of their favorite past times is camping as a family.
Wes and Sharon Friesen
Wes and Sharon have been married for 33 years and together they have 5 children, 3 of which are married and have given them 9 Grandchildren.
Wes is a sound tech.,organic farmer and a truck driver. Wes & Sharon are one of the Co-founders of Hope Encounters International Inc. and currently Wes serves as Treasurer for the Board of Directors. Sharon has a duplicating studio in house and until recently worked with the Sask Teen Challenge for Women. Wes and Sharon have amazingly kind servant hearts and are both creative and adventuresome. They are a great asset to the Hope Encounter team.
In 2002 they attended an ALMA Marriage Encounter and ever since, they’ve have a strong desire to help and serve marriages and families who need encouragement.
Alex and Angela Sipko
It was through their marriage encounter experience that Alex and Angela came to a new understanding of marriage commitment. They have been married for over 15 years and share a blended family of three adult daughters and an adult son. Angela works at Saskatoon Motor Products in Saskatoon, while Alex is self-employed. They love to serve others together and are a great asset to the team as they model loving through serving. Angela is also a Director on the Board for Hope Encounters. Most recently, Alex and Angela became proud grandparents of a beautiful baby girl.
